Call for Tutorials

SVR tutorials aim at promoting the skills necessary to master recent technological developments and to disseminate areas of study, thus amplifying the participants' education/research perspectives, in academic level. Therefore, SVR tutorial proposals should be planned aiming at presenting intermediary and advanced subjects related to the areas of Virtual and Augmented Reality. Duration of each tutorial: 2 hours (show-off format) or 4 hours (hands-on format).

As in previous editions, the chapters presented will be included in the online journal "Tendências e Técnicas em Realidade Virtual e Aumentada" (ISSN 2177-6776).

Submission Instructions

Tutorials should be written in English or Portuguese. In order to submit a tutorial, firstly the authors should fill the proposal form, presenting a summary with an expanded overview of the content. Once the proposal has been accepted, a full text (12 – 15 pages) must be submitted for final acceptance. Proposals will be evaluated by relevance, innovation, originality, themes presented in previous SVR editions, author’s experience and quality of the content. Authors should write their full text following the SBC template (SBC Book Chapters). The proposal form and the SBC template are available for download as indicated below.

Each accepted tutorial must have at least one paid registration, in order to be included in the digital book. We emphasize that there is no financial support to cover authors' expenses to present at the tutorials session.

Proposal submissions (according to the template) should be submitted to the JEMS system ("SVR 2018 - Tutoriais" track).

Documents

The final version of your paper must be submitted with the SBC Copyright Form.

The template has the Copyright Form written in English and in Portuguese. It is not necessary to sign both. Authors must choose between one of the two, no matter the language in which the draft was written.
