Tutorials aim at promoting the skills necessary to master recent technological developments and to disseminate areas of study, thus amplifying the participants’ education/research perspectives in the academic and industrial levels. Therefore, tutorial proposals should be planned to present intermediary and advanced subjects related to the areas of Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). Duration of each tutorial: 3 hours.
All proposals will be blindly reviewed by at least two experts in the topic. Proposals will be evaluated by relevance, originality, author’s experience and quality of the content.
Tutorial submissions will be performed through the JEMS System in the “SVR 2025 – Tutorials”. Authors must submit a six-page manuscript on the tutorial subject. The manuscripts must be formatted using the IEEE manuscript templates – A4 page size – and should be written in English.
If accepted, this six-page manuscript will be published in conference proceedings by Conference Publishing Services, CPS, and will be submitted to IEEE Xplore.
The six-page manuscript should contain a survey of the topic to be presented, including:
- Abstract
- An introduction
- A structured presentation of the topic; and
- Conclusions indicating trends, applications, and directions for future work.
As supplementary material to the six-page manuscript, authors must include a PDF file with target audience and expected outcomes of the tutorial, along with a short biography of the instructors in English, including relevant experience in the topic of the tutorial.
Accepted tutorials will be invited to submit an extended version as a survey paper to a special issue in the Journal of the Brazilian Computer Society (JBCS) after the conference.
Presentation
Accepted tutorials must be presented in the SVR tutorial sessions. More information about tutorial presentations will be sent to the authors of accepted tutorials.
